We started the Backroom Acoustic Music Club in October 2007 and it has become a favourite session with musicians both near and far...some even making it a regular stop when over from France! A twice-monthly acoustic music session meeting on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at the Railway Inn- 132 Great Whyte, Ramsey, Cambs - Starting at 8pm. “Open Stage” session – all styles and abilities encouraged. Whether you sing or play an instrument – whatever your style – you will be made to feel welcome, as will non-performing audience members. No need to book a slot – just come along – we will get around to everyone. Free entry to performers and audience alike. We also run an 'open stage' session called "Voodoo Unplugged" at Mama Liz's Voodoo Lounge, 9a North Street, Stamford, Lincs PE9 1EL. It is run on the same basis as 'Backroom Acoustic Music Club' and is on the first Thursday of every month starting at 8pm. Starting on 8 March 2012 we will be running another session called "The Golden Pheasant Unplugged" at The Golden Pheasant, 1 Main Road, Etton, Peterborough PE6 7DA
We also hold an annual "Gig in the Garden" where local performers get a chance to showcase themselves....look out for details of next year's event.
